The Coalition to End Homelessness has been serving both the homeless population and service providers since 1989; the Coalition obtained a 501(c)3 status in 1992.

Our Vision:
To end homelessness through changing lives.

Our Mission:
To reduce and alleviate the problem of homelessness through advocacy and public education for the motivation of community action and the provision of services.

We are dedicated to:
Preventing homelessness in our community, determining the needs of the homeless, initiating and encouraging coordinated planning among homeless services, advocates, activists and organizations, developing the social conscience, stimulating public opinion and interests, motivating community action, and advancing the cause of affordable housing.

The organization is governed by a diverse twenty-five member Board of Directors, and counts among its members over 500 community agencies and individuals. The organization has four standing committees: Membership and Board Development, Finance and Development, Continuum of Care, and Public Advocacy and Education. Additionally we have three ad-hoc committees including Standards of Care, Point of Entry and Portrait of Homelessness.  Each of these committees is comprised of both Board members and members of the community working together to help the homeless.

The members of the Coalition represent the public, private and nonprofit sectors, diverse minority communities and the homeless themselves and are a voice for our homeless population bringing recognition to the issues that affect them and dignity and respect to homeless persons.
